About Our Products
The vintage furniture and miscellaneous goods available at Collect ANTIQUE & VINTAGE are carefully selected and purchased by buyers who travel directly to various countries around the world.
When purchasing, we also check the condition, and we primarily purchase items that can be used as they are without any issues.
Regarding the condition
We aim to propose a lifestyle based on global standards that incorporates vintage furniture.
In the countries where we source our furniture, the charming patina that comes with age is considered the appeal of vintage items, and it's believed that inheriting the history of such furniture and integrating it into one's life is also a sustainable practice.
The scratches and textures resulting from age are akin to the fading and damage on vintage denim; they possess an undeniable charm that new items cannot replicate.
We avoid over-maintaining our furniture to preserve its vintage charm, instead performing appropriate maintenance only to ensure it is in "a usable condition."
Furthermore, by avoiding unnecessary maintenance, we reduce costs, enabling us to offer products at affordable prices.

Care of Wooden Furniture
Dry Cleaning
Vintage wooden furniture may not be as water resistant as modern products.
When cleaning, wipe with a damp cloth, then dry with a clean cloth.
Moisture that collects on the bottom of glasses or other items can cause ring stains, so wipe it up immediately.
Oil maintenance
If you are concerned about dirt or dryness, you may be able to resolve it by using commercially available wood oil.
If you are concerned, please check the instructions of each oil manufacturer before trying.
